Under sink water filtration kits are available for self fitting. The kits we sell are easy to use, and installation can be made by anyone with even the most basic of DIY skills. The filter housing attaches to the inside of your kitchen unit by means of a bracket being screwed to the wood and then a self piercing clamp is placed over the cold water supply pipe which runs to your cold water tap. The clamp is designed and shaped to make a tight fit. By simply turning a screw in the clamp, it pierces the water pipe and allows water to flow to the filter housing.

For clean, fresh tasting drinking water, a self install under sink water filtration kit is what you need. Installation is simple and takes less than 30 minutes. For palatable drinking water from the tap, simply purchase and install an under sink water filtration kit system.

From the filter housing which is located under the sink in your cupboard, a small pipe runs up towards the sink unit, where a single, dedicated drinking water tap is attached. At most the only work that needs to be carried out on the sink unit to attach the drinking water tap is the drilling of a small hole. The drinking water tap is then placed through the hole and fixed on the under side by an attaching nut. The water pipe from the filter housing is then attached to the under sink side of the tap.

Our under sink water filtration kits can be daisy chained. This means that one unit can attach to another, which in turn could attach to another and so on. What this means is that even for the most contaminated of water supplies, most of the harmful ingredients in the water can be filtered out under the sink, resulting in clean, fresh tasting drinking water from the tap.

A range of filter elements are available for the under sink water filtration kits that we supply. If you have a dirty water supply which contains grit, dirt and other large particles, then a simple sediment filter will be suitable. For water supplies that contain chlorine which impales taste and emits an odour, a carbon filter element should be used. Some of the carbon filters we supply also combine a sediment removal facility too. Some water sources contain traces of harmful heavy metals. Water filters for the under sink water filtration systems we supply for self fit are available to remove the heavy metal sometimes found in water sources. For heavy metal removal from water select a kit along with the heavy metal removal filter cartridge.

In areas of hard water, limescale can build up on heater elements in kettles and also in boilers and central heating systems, leading to premature failure and inefficiency. To over come this problem, water softener cartridges can be purchased with and for the under sink water filtration systems. The water softener filter works by removing the minerals which can end up depositing and accumulating on heater elements.

For water supplies with a low pH - acidic water - Calcite/GAC based filters are available to neutralise the pH level. In addition to neutralising water, the filters also remove bad odour and taste, making the water more palatable.

Nitrate in water is also another problem for many. The under sink water filtration kit is available with a filter cartridge for the removal of nitrate only. The nitrate filter is also available separately.
